NEKTON FRANCHISES
In the past Nekton has grown thru traditional financing and internal earnings. In light of today’s credit crisis and the desire of Nekton to accelerate its’ own growth rate, the Company is now embarking on a growth model proven successful by Nekton’s larger competitors. This growth model establishes one or more independent vessel operations as separately owned franchises under the umbrella of the marketing and operating Franchisor.
The reason a Nekton franchise will be more successful is the superior competitive advantage of the SWATH technology. In itinerary after itinerary, in destinations that set Nekton vessels competing side by side with mono-hull or catamaran scuba cruise vessels, Nekton succeeded in filling its’ vessels first. This has repeatedly demonstrated the significant advantage the SWATH technology provides over competing mono-hull or catamaran scuba cruise vessels.
While the Nekton design has many competitive advantages beyond the SWATH technology such as the elevating dive deck, the largest guest cabins of any scuba cruise vessel, a 2,000 square foot sundeck, etc. because the SWATH technology is the most significant competitive advantage it bears further discussion and analysis.
